You focus on business.
We do the tech.
When something breaks, you call and a human answers. No ticket queue. No chatbot. No being a number. When something breaks, you call a number and a human answers. No tickets disappearing into a queue. No AI chatbot running you in circles. No being treated like a number, because we've been the number, and we hated it.
We were in your shoes. So we built what we needed.
Focus Group spent ten years with technology that didn't work. The failures were never dramatic, just a steady, costly frustration. Slow responses. Problems that came back. Advice that never arrived.
The obvious solution was a better provider, so we tried, three times over. Each attempt left us exactly where we began, just another number to them.
So we built our own internal IT function, staffed by like-minded people who share our values, and it solved the problems a decade of providers couldn't. We handled our own migration away from the service provider. Within that same IT function, we also bring our own development expertise, backed by 12 years of software engineering experience. That meant we could build our own internal software to support our employees day to day, removing manual tasks through automation and custom-built solutions. We built our own group intranet, consolidating multiple tools into one platform we control, and brought in AI where it made a real difference.
Now we provide that same capability to businesses experiencing the same issues, built on the lessons we learned fixing our own.
That's Focus Ai Technologies. Not an IT company that learned about business. A business that learned to do technology, and now does it for others.
Read the full storyCall us. A person answers.
We spent ten years on the other side of the ticket. Logging issues that vanished. Waiting days for a reply. Explaining the same problem to the fourth person who'd never heard of us. We know exactly what that feels like, because we were that customer.
So we built the opposite. One number. A real person who knows your business. Problems that get owned, not routed. We use AI where it genuinely saves you time. It's in our name, after all. But never as a wall between you and a human.
You're not a ticket number to us. You've never been a number to us.
What calling us looks like
-
A human answers: no phone maze, no chatbot wall, no "your call is important to us".
-
They know your setup: a person who knows your business picks up, not the fourth stranger this month.
-
The problem gets owned: owned until it's fixed, not routed into a queue and forgotten.
-
AI stays behind the scenes: saving time in the background, never standing between you and a person.
One partner. Everything technology.
Most businesses juggle a support provider, a software vendor, and someone who "does the AI stuff." We're all three, which means nothing falls between the gaps. And when you need help, you call one number and a human answers.
Run it
Managed IT the way it should be. Microsoft 365 management, device and endpoint security, backup that's actually tested, monitoring, and a helpdesk with response times we publish. Plus the security and compliance work most providers won't touch. The foundation everything else stands on.
Automate it
The work your team does by hand that a system should be doing. Intranets, integrations between the tools you already pay for, workflow automation, internal tools built to fit. We built our own group's automation platform, so we know what actually saves time and what just looks clever.
Amplify it
AI, implemented the right way: on a secured foundation, with governance, aimed at outcomes rather than headlines. Starting where it pays back fastest: customer service, admin, and the repetitive work nobody wants to do. We use it to give your team back time, never to put a machine between you and us.
Four claims. Four reasons to believe them.
When you call, you reach a person. Every time.
We publish our response times because we mean them. But faster than any SLA is the simple fact that a human who knows your setup picks up. We learned the hard way that "we'll raise a ticket" is where problems go to die. Not here.
We know what you need, because we needed it.
We're a group of companies before we're a technology provider. Payroll, deadlines, month-end, customers waiting. We know what downtime costs because it cost us, and we know which problems can wait until Monday and which can't, because we've been the one waiting.
We fix what others can't.
Ten years. Three failed attempts to move providers. Then a three-month Microsoft 365 migration that worked. Run by us, and still run by us today. When someone tells you it's too complicated to fix, we've heard that before.
We don't just run your technology. We build it.
Twelve-plus years of software engineering, in-house. We built our own intranet for business automation. Most providers can support software; very few can write it. When off-the-shelf doesn't fit, we don't shrug. We build.
One partner. Three steps.
Assess
Start with the Baseline. Fixed scope, fixed fee. We assess your technology across eight areas and hand you a scored report and a prioritised roadmap, in plain language, not jargon. Yours to keep, whoever you work with next.
Fix
We close the gaps the Baseline found. Every project traces back to a finding, so nothing is an upsell. You'll always know why we're recommending it, because it's on the report you're holding.
Run
We become your technology function: helpdesk, Microsoft 365 and device management, security, monitoring, quarterly reviews, and ongoing compliance, plus the automation and AI work that actually moves the business forward. The technology function you never have to hire for.
Eight areas. Every one of them matters.
This is what we check in every Baseline, and what we manage once we're running your technology.
Identity & access
Who can get in, with what, and from where.
Devices & endpoints
Every laptop managed, patched and protected.
Email & collaboration
Microsoft 365 configured correctly, not just switched on.
Data protection & backup
Backed up, tested, and actually recoverable.
Network & infrastructure
The plumbing: firewall, Wi-Fi, servers, cloud.
Monitoring & response
Someone watching, and a plan for when something happens.
Compliance & evidence
Policies, privacy-law position, and proof when you're asked for it.
People & training
Your team, trained, because most incidents start with a click.
Find out where your technology actually stands.
You shouldn't have to sign a long contract to find out whether your technology is in good shape. So we made the first step small, fixed, and useful on its own.
The Baseline is a fixed-scope, fixed-fee assessment of your technology across all eight areas. No sales pitch dressed up as an audit. A real piece of work with a real deliverable.
And it's yours to keep, whether you work with us afterwards or not. If you take it to another provider, that's fine. At least you'll know what to ask them.
What you get
-
A scorecard across the eight areas: where you're strong, where you're exposed
-
A top-risks register, ranked by what actually matters to your business
-
A 90-day roadmap: what to fix, in what order, and why
-
A plain-language debrief with the people who did the work
Every provider says "secure." We help you prove it.
Being secure and being able to demonstrate you're secure are two different jobs. Most IT providers do the first badly and the second not at all, which is a problem the day your insurer, your auditor, or your biggest customer starts asking questions.
Privacy-law readiness
Your obligations mapped, whether under POPIA or the Australian Privacy Act, the technical controls implemented, the gaps closed.
Cyber insurance renewals
The questionnaire answered, and the controls behind the answers actually in place.
Customer security questionnaires
When your biggest client sends the spreadsheet, we fill it in.
Audit preparation
Documented controls and evidence packs, ready before anyone asks.
Formal certification comes from external auditors and accreditation bodies. Our job is to make you ready for them, and to provide you with the evidence that proves it.
Questions we get asked.
